During our recent stay, we found a blend of charm and challenges at this family-friendly hotel. The staff quickly resolved the issue, providing a larger room at the same rate while treating us to coffee during our wait—much appreciated after a long drive from Maryland. Our room, while a bit dated and slightly cluttered with furniture, comfortably accommodated my family. The bedding was clean, and there was plenty of space for unpacking if you want to settle in for a longer stay. The bathroom had character, but the shower was a letdown, and unfortunately, we faced hot water issues during our time there. Despite these shortcomings, the hotel’s location is excellent, making excursions to local attractions like Oxford and Bicester Village easy. With a bit more attention to amenities and a streamlined menu, this hotel could evolve into a go-to spot for families like ours.
